Various research methods support the notion that many men do not feel that they can freely express their emotions and the issues they’re dealing with. The aim of this campaign is to celebrate the imperfections we have as Modern Gentlemen and change the social perception of an enclosed man.
MEN – Submit your video (up to 1 minute) to your social media account (Instagram, Facebook or Twitter) containing the hashtag #perfectlyhuMEN. The aim of the video is to express why you are not perfect. This could be how bad you are at singing in the shower or how you may have struggled with a particular mental health issue. Your story is what is important to us.
WOMEN – Submit your video (up to 1 minute) to your social media account (Instagram, Facebook or Twitter) containing the hashtag #perfectlyhuMEN. The aim of this video from the women’s perspective is to encourage men that it’s OK to be human. This could be that it’s OK that they’re not great at DIY or that it’s OK for men to connect emotionally with the people they care about. We truly believe that women’s voices are incredibly important in the conversation of men’s mental health and male suicide.
We aim to launch this campaign worldwide, which in turn will take a step towards combatting Mental Illness within the male community. All videos submitted will be featured on our Website and may also be posted to our Social Media Accounts.
